Objectives
- Work to increase access to primary health care in disadvantaged communities with a priority on rural and urban slum communities.
- Promoting participatory processes, community support and care to people with AIDS, (PLWAs)'networking and initiatives, peer education, interactive learning and communication.
- To enhance capacity-building through training and sensitizing human resources at National levels.
- To set up vocational and life skills training institutions to cover the over growing number of school dropouts after universal primary education (UPE), universal secondary education (USE), over age illiterate, unemployed youth and other community members.
- To facilitate education institutions by providing scholastic materials, construction of class-rooms, sick bays, toilets, teacher's residences, school laboratories, libraries and agriculture implements.
- Fostering talent development initiatives by developing children's intellectual, Creative, artistic, leadership, sports talents and any other gifted field.
- Promote and protect human rights in vulnerable communities focusing on child rights, gender issues, and conflict resolution.
- To act as civic educators and promote civil and human rights through seminars, workshops, crusades, demonstrations and mass media communication.
- To promote General welfare of the African child in rural areas of Ugandan communities through sensitization of people on the importance of education, health care and improved nutrition methods.
- To support self-help processes among families and communities, most vulnerable through the opening up of income generating activities and programmes by means of direct service delivery and networking.
- To open up income generating projects Viz schools, hospitals, resource centers and training institutions in areas such as: agriculture, forestry, carpentry, woodworks, sewing, hairdressing, catering and the like. This will promote education and occupation opportunities to fight against illiteracy and poverty in safe guarding of child welfare in rural and peri-urban areas.
