ALFORD Accomplishments
ALFORD is proud to have touched many lives of the disadvantaged groups, assisting them in their journey out of poverty.
To date we have,
- We have lunched rural community development initiatives 2002
- Trained 250 community health workers for our community health related projects
- Development of sustainable rural livelihood programs for the farmers
- Recruitment of National volunteers
- Formed self help groups for a sustainable rural development programs
- Lunched vocational Educational programs for impoverished youth
- Sponsored HIV/AIDS orphans to stay in school programs
- Developed grant programs to fund self help groups working to overcome poverty
- Implementing its National strategic plan
- Regular holding of its annual general congress to improve the governance structures.
- Lunched a market research for identifying market opportunities for farmers.
- Trained self help group leaders in leadership and saving skills.
- Identifying new and potential microenterprises for farmers
- Supporting farmers with seed capital in launching microenterprises
- Advocacy in Information Education and communication(IEC) on HIV/AIDS
- Construction of water walls and school toilets.
